About this game

Zenctuary is a VR gardening experience for Oculus Quest that invites you into a calm, immersive natural world where you can slow down, reconnect with nature. Designed as a non-gamified environment, Zenctuary offers a peaceful alternative to traditional VR gameplay — no scores, no timers, just presence and creativity. Inspired by real-world therapeutic gardens, the experience allows you to explore the restorative power of nature through intuitive interactions. What makes Zenctuary truly unique is its foundation in research. Is a work-in-progress app by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest. It was created as part of a research project to explore how virtual environments can replicate the calming, beneficial effects of nature. Refined through focus group testing, it emphasizes accessibility, emotional resonance, and sensory immersion. Whether you’re playing with stones, picking apples, or simply walking and listening to the soothing sounds of birds and wind, the application can offer a space for reflection, mindfulness, and meaningful digital rest.
