TODAY IS NOT TODAY

Today is not Today is a project that aims to promote a cultural and educational use of new technologies—particularly virtual reality—applied to the languages of contemporary art. Its goal is to breathe new life into unfinished artworks, concepts that remained mere ideas, or projects once considered unfeasible due to technical, economic, or temporal limitations. Today, thanks to the possibilities offered by VR, these artistic visions can finally take shape and become immersive experiences accessible to a broad audience.

Virtual reality is not seen here merely as a technical tool, but as a new expressive space capable of expanding the boundaries of artistic imagination. The works presented in this context are not just digital reconstructions, but fully experiential environments in which the viewer can move, explore, and interact, engaging in a direct and immersive relationship with the artwork.

Through a dialogue between past and future, Today is not Today reflects on the possibility of reactivating the creative potential of past artists and projects, redefining the very notion of a “finished work.” Technology thus becomes a means to rethink the temporality of art, giving shape to what once seemed impossible and making it surprisingly real today.
