Science in Cooking: Pickle

1. Place 2 cucumbers on a cutting board.

2. Cut the cucumbers with a paring knife and transfer the cuts to a pickling jar.

3. Fill a saucepan with water and add the sugar, salt, and pepper.

4. Turn on the stove and bring to a boil over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve.

5. when the sugar and salt are dissolved, turn off the stove and add the vinegar to the pot

6. Pour the sauce into the pickle jars, put the lids on, and you’re done.
