RT Patient Experience

The Radiation Therapy Patient Experience is a fantastic education tool for carers and students.

Users will first witness a virtual patient have a radiation therapy mask made. During this process you will be able to walk around the simulation room and get a close up look of the room setup and how you will be positioned for the procedure.

The second part of the experience will ask users to lie-down and allow them to go through the steps of having the mask fitted including positioning, mask placement and CT scanning.

On screen prompts are integrated within the application, directing users on how to proceed through the simulation process.

In clinical use cases we highly recommend the Practitioner/ Therapist/ Radiologic Technologist familiar with the radiation therapy simulation process cast the procedure to a phone or tablet using the Oculus app to help guide users through their first experience.
