Hippo VR

Hippo VR is a fan-made VR tag game inspired by Gorilla Tag, where players become fast-moving hippos in a world built for creative movement and chaos. Unlike its inspiration, Hippo VR requires VR controllers, which are used to swing, climb, and bounce around the environment with precise physical input.

Players start in the Starting Map, a small, cozy room designed as a safe zone and practice area. It features a central table, a working mirror for checking your hippo avatar, and walls to test movement mechanics. This room serves as both a tutorial space and a casual hangout before entering the main action.

The second map is the Lake Map, an open outdoor environment centered around a large lake. With floating logs, slick stones, and climbable cliffs, it challenges players to master movement across varied terrain. The water adds risk and fun, encouraging creative routes and high-skill maneuvers during tag matches.
