Flashback Clipping

Flashback is an app that brings voice clipping and high quality 60fps clips to standalone Meta Quest. This is incredibly useful to both standalone content creators and those who simply want to relive moments without sifting through a long recording.

To be functional, Flashback works together with a free companion app for iPhone called Flashback VR Clipping. This companion app, and your iPhone, are what allow for certain Flashback attributes such as voice clipping. When activated, your phone’s mic will constantly listen for the phrase "Flashback, clip that," which triggers a clip/mark. Additionally, clips are synced to your iPhone, where you can download or edit them.

Performance Clipping continuously records the most recent minutes of your gameplay in the background, so you can save a moment at any time after it happens. This is a safe option as it is practically lag-free, however it is limited to 30fps and left eye view.

Quality Clipping produces higher-quality clips by working alongside the standard Meta recorder (your video capture settings on Meta will be those which show up on a clip). For example, Quality clips can reach up to 60 fps, and whatever eye view you select. You will have to record for this mode, but Flashback extracts clips from the file and syncs them to your phone for you, negating the tedious task of searching yourself.
