Billiards Sunset

Step into a private billiards room above the clouds at golden hour.

The table is the real thing: a measured nine-foot table with proper cushion jaws, pockets that only take a ball when it earns it, and balls that roll out and settle the way they should. Every shot is yours to make - no aim assist, no snapping.

THE CUE

Hold the cue in your right hand and put your left out in front of you as a bridge. The cue runs from one hand through the other, exactly as it does on a real table. Pull the left trigger to lock the line and your stroke goes dead straight. Strike above centre for follow, below for draw, off to the side for english. A guide line shows where the cue ball is going and where the object ball will leave.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

Practice, with ball in hand whenever you want it. Full 8-ball for two players on one table, with open tables, groups, fouls and ball in hand. Speed Pool against the clock, with your best time kept.

THE ROOM

Hyper-real materials throughout: a hardwood floor inside a marble border, a book-matched marble wall, walnut slat panelling, a leather banquette and a coffered ceiling with lit panels. One full-height glass wall wraps the corner and opens onto a stone terrace, where there is nothing below you but a sea of cloud.

Change the sky whenever you like - sunset, dusk or daylight - from the panel on the wall.
